20/20 Conference

Wow! I feel totally spiritually full! There is so much stuff in my mind that I am chewing on!
Southeastern hosted the annual 20/20 Collegiate Conference this weekend. This year's conference was titled "Sex and the City of God." It was super good! The panel of speakers included Dr. Daniel Akin, Father Richard John Neuhaus, and Dr. Peter Kreeft. Oh my goodness! The first session on Friday night was preached by Dr. Akin and it was about the Biblical view of men and women in marriage. After the break, Father Neuhaus spoke for the second session about the pursuit of holiness.
This morning started out with Dr. Kreeft discussing whether or not there will be sex in heaven and also redefining the truth of sex on earth as dictated by God's Word. It was a fascinating session! We had various breakout sessions, and Dr. Nelson from the Southeastern faculty spoke on sexual abuse in our third session. The fourth session was a question and answer panel consisting of this weekend's speakers and a few faculty members. It was an amazing time to gather together as students and fellow believers to look into God's Word!
I'd love to write more about it, but the truth of the matter is that I have loads of studying to do to make up for being in sessions all day today! Maybe I'll have time to recap more of the material later.
I love you all very much and I miss you!
